Emily grew up in Independence, MO.  She graduated with her bachelor of science  in nursing in 2012 from Graceland University and worked for 7 years as a labor and delivery nurse for Centerpoint Medical Center.  In 2021 she graduated from the University of Kansas School of Nursing with her Doctorate In Nursing practice and is a certified nurse midwife.  She is also an international board certified lactation consultant.  She is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
 
Emily’s biggest joy is her family.  She is married with 3 children and enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking and running.
